A RING FOR EVERYONE

downloadOPERA NORTH’S PERFORMANCES AT THE ROYAL FESTIVAL HALL ARE STREAMED LIVE IN THE CLORE BALLROOM

During the current Power of Power festival, there are a broad range of free events programmed around the Opera North production as part of Southbank Centre’s commitment to make classical music accessible to everyone. All four instalments of Der Ring des Nibelungen are now sold out, however each opera is live streamed in The Clore Ballroom and free to attend, with no booking required.

Transformed into an English country park setting with AstroTurf, trees and picnic blankets, The Clore Ballroom provides the perfect atmosphere to enjoy the screened performance with opportunities for viewers to bring their own picnic or purchase a readymade one onsite. An animated introduction to Wagner’s Ring will precede each screening.

The performances take place on the following dates:

Das Rheingold, Tuesday 28 June, 7pm

Die Walküre, Wednesday 29 June, 5pm

Siegfried, Friday 1 July, 5pm

Götterdämmerung, Sunday 3 July, 3pm
