Write for Us – A Call for New Reviewers

New Reviewers Are Always Welcome: Lots of  venues remain to be covered

Despite  its multinational coverage and complement  of 60 or so reviewers across the world, Seen and Heard International is always keen to recruit new contributors especially in areas where our coverage is limited. In the UK for example, we currently have no-one based in East Anglia which is a pity given the fact that Aldeburgh has a lively all-year programme of events in addition to the famous summer festival.

Other areas of the UK  where our coverage is less comprehensive than we would like are Northern Ireland, the North East of England and the South East.

Outside of the UK we are especially interested in expanding our coverage from Eire – where at the moment we have no-one at all, Belgium and Holland, which we can only cover sporadically and Norway and Denmark. Further afield,  we have no contributors at all  from Russia, Poland or the Czech Republic and we have only occasional reviews from the Baltic States: in fact we have never published a review from Latvia or Lithuania.

The world however is most definitely our oyster and we also on the look-out for greater numbers of reviewers in the USA (Chicago, Boston, Cleveland, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami, Atlanta, Washington. Detroit, anyone ? ) and Canada. It happens too that one of our editors for The Americas is based in Argentina, but Brazil, Chile and in fact the rest of South America are too wide a remit for a single person, talented as Jonathan might be.

If you have a lively interest in classical music and could  turn out 500 or so words of readable and grammatically sound copy  after a concert or opera performance, the editorial team would be very glad to hear from you – even if you don’t live in any of the places mentioned specifically so far. Seen and Heard is welcome in most of the locations where great music-making happens and being a member of our accredited reviewing team can open their doors to you. To find out more all you have to do is to send your initial enquiry to sandhadmin@btinternet.com at  who will pass it on to an appropriate member of our Editorial Team. Any one of our six editors will be pleased to explain how we work and provide you with more information generally.

The Seen and Heard team are  friendly people and joining up with them can provide all manner of new and interesting musical experiences. Well worth enquring about, wouldn’t you say?
