Oper Frankfurt’s 2026/27 Season
Oper Frankfurt will celebrate Bernd Loebe’s 25th anniversary as Intendant and General Manager during the 2026/27 season. Since his appointment in 2002, Oper Frankfurt has been voted Opera House of the Year six times by Opernwelt and Opera Company of the Year in 2013 at the first-ever International Opera Awards in London. Loebe won the IOA’s 2018 Leadership in Opera Award. His contract with Oper Frankfurt has been extended to 2028.

Frankfurt Opera’s 2021-2022 season will see eleven new productions, of which eight will be performed in the opera house and three in the Bockenheimer Depot, a former tram depot and the main workshop of the Straßenbahn Frankfurt am Main.
