BBC Proms – Friday 19 July to Saturday 14 September 2024
BBC Proms welcomes the world’s best international and British orchestras to the Royal Albert Hall and launches more residencies across the UK
Ninety Proms feature over 3,000 musicians over eight weeks, including star soloists Yo-Yo Ma, Anne-Sophie Mutter, Yunchan Lim, Víkingur Ólafsson, Sheku, Braimah and Isata Kanneh-Mason, and weekend festivals in Bristol, Nottingham and Gateshead.

Northern Ireland Opera today announces Principal Cast and Creatives in Tchaikovsky’s operatic masterpiece Eugene Onegin this September in Belfast. Based on Alexander Pushkin’s classic novel in verse, one of the most lyrical and beautiful pieces of literature adapted for opera, this stunning production will be directed by the renowned national opera company’s Artistic director Cameron Menzies (Nominated Best Director for Into the Woods Irish Times’s Irish Theatre Awards 2022 and Winner of three Paris Short Film Awards for film Old Friends and Other Days).

The Southbank Centre and its family of six Resident Orchestras – Aurora Orchestra, Chineke! Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, London Sinfonietta, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and Philharmonia Orchestra – has announced the Classical Music Autumn/Winter 2024/25 programme.
A presentation of the dynamic variety and staggering influence of the genre in all its forms, the programme features soaring symphonic works, powerful premieres, ambitious anniversary events performed by ground-breaking orchestras and ensembles.
Bayerische Staatsoper in 2024-25
The 2024–25 season at the Bayerische Staatsoper
Nine new Bayerische Staatsoper productions and three new Bayerisches Staatsballett productions, the fourth edition of the UniCredit September Festival, the third Ja, Mai Festival and a variety of concerts with the Bayerisches Staatsorchester as well as the Ballet Festival Week and the Munich Opera Festival provide the framework for the coming season in the Bayerische Staatsoper’s divisions.

The Ryedale Festival aims to make North Yorkshire one of the best places in Europe to enjoy and encounter classical music, and to do it with a sense of vision and adventure.
This year’s summer festival takes place between Friday 12th – Sunday 28th July and features 58 performances in 35 beautiful and historic locations across the county.
