CARNEGIE HALL SELECTS BEGINS ON 14 MAY 

From 14 May, Carnegie Hall will offer weekly full-length and free concert streams via carnegiehall.org that feature legendary classical musicians in performances from some of the finest concert halls around the world. The new series, Carnegie Hall Selects, celebrates great artists, composers and musical works that have played a central role in Carnegie Hall’s history. A new Carnegie Hall Selects program will be offered each Friday throughout the summer.

Florence Price (1887-1953) was an Afro-American Composer who wrote a very significant amount of music: symphonies, concertos, chamber music, Lieder and some quite simply outstanding piano music. Orchestra announces Summer Season with six live concerts (3 June 2021 – 22 July 2021)

The Hallé is delighted to announce its Summer Season of six live, socially distanced concerts in Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall. Each programme will be performed twice at 2.15pm and 7pm, to allow as many people as possible to hear the orchestra live once more. Three of these concerts (3 & 17 June, 22 July) will also be available for online broadcast in the same style as the Hallé’s hugely successful Winter Season.
