Summer at Snape – full details of June 2021 concerts announced
While Britten Pears Arts is not able to present a full Aldeburgh Festival this year, June will be packed with performances that have a strong Festival feel, with a Britten focus and an emphasis on new work. These events are part of a Summer at Snape season running from 21 May to early September.

Orchestra announces Summer Season with six live concerts (3 June 2021 – 22 July 2021)
The Hallé is delighted to announce its Summer Season of six live, socially distanced concerts in Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall. Each programme will be performed twice at 2.15pm and 7pm, to allow as many people as possible to hear the orchestra live once more. Three of these concerts (3 & 17 June, 22 July) will also be available for online broadcast in the same style as the Hallé’s hugely successful Winter Season.

CBSO to stage eighteen socially-distanced concerts
at Birmingham’s Symphony Hall between May and July
The City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO) is to return to Symphony Hall Birmingham as restrictions are lifted to allow live performances for the first time this year, with concerts for socially-distanced audiences to take place each Wednesday from 19 May – 7 July.

Opera North announces five new productions for its 2021/22 season and an eclectic programme of live music in the Howard Assembly Room, marking a crucial and celebratory moment for the national opera company in the North this Autumn as it also reopens its buildings in central Leeds following a transformational £18 million capital redevelopment programme, Music Works.
Death of Classical and The Green-Wood Cemetery have announced season three of their acclaimed concert series, The Angel’s Share. The series will offer seven in-person events in the Cemetery and Catacombs, and seven filmed programs broadcast on The WNET Group’s ALL ARTS TV channel and streaming on allarts.org and the ALL ARTS app.
THREE CHOIRS FESTIVAL 2021
It was a bitter disappointment when the Covid pandemic forced the cancellation of the 2020 Three Choirs Festival in Worcester; this was the first time in its 300-year history that the Festival had been cancelled other than during war time. Since then, the outlook for live music-making in the UK has been very uncertain, but the highly successful vaccination programme and a very welcome significant reduction in case numbers has brought optimism and the Three Choirs has announced a programme for the 2021 Festival. The city of Worcester has again been given the opportunity to act as host and the Festival will run from 24 July to 1 August.
